Commissioning Technician
Pasco, WA – Full-time – Nonexempt
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Install and commission new machines at customer sites, ensuring optimal functionality and performance.
Collaborate with international colleagues on large-scale installations or complex service projects.
Travel to customer locations, both domestic and international, to perform installations and commissioning activities.
Train owners and operators on equipment use, complete training and commissioning documentation.
Act as the primary on-site representative of Eqraft, delivering professional and customer-focused service experience.
Communicate clearly with customers and internal teams to keep all parties informed of project progress and outcomes.
Ensure accurate and timely documentation of installation progress, technical actions, parts used, and customer interactions.
Maintain all tools, equipment, and company vehicles in good working conditions.
Adhere to all safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE in accordance with company and site requirements.
Comply with all company policies, procedures, and quality standards.
Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor to support operational goals.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues
Proficient in working with AC (480V and 120V) and DC (24V) electrical systems
Able to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical schematics
Capable of locating, understanding, and applying technical information from manuals and guides
Possess and maintain a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
Ability to obtain a passport within 90 days of hire
Associate degree in a technical field or 2–4 years of field service experience (preferred)
Strong customer service skills with a professional demeanor
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Willing and able to travel overnight as needed, including international assignments
Physical Requirements:
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards
Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards
Must be able to lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 50 lbs regularly
Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and reach frequently throughout the workday
Must be able to work in a variety of environments, including production floors, warehouses, outdoor sites, and customer facilities
Ability to climb ladders, access equipment platforms, and maneuver in tight or elevated spaces as required
Must be able to sit and operate a motor vehicle for extended periods during travel
Must be able to use hands and fingers to handle, feel, and operate tools, equipment, and controls
Must be able to distinguish colors and possess normal or corrected-to-normal vision reading schematics
Must be able to talk, listen, and speak clearly on the telephone and in person to communicate effectively with customers and team members
May be exposed to loud noise, moving mechanical parts, and occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles; appropriate PPE will be provided and must be worn.
