Invitation opening new Eqraft premises in Emmeloord February 2 and 5

Following a period of continuous growth, Eqraft decided they needed a new headquarters. The Dutch tech company found a brand new property, big enough to match their ambitions and future plans. For the grand opening of their new headquarters in Emmeloord, Eqraft opens the doors of their new facility on 2 and 5 February 2024 and welcomes colleagues, family members, customers, suppliers, and whoever else is interested in celebrating this important milestone with them.

Eqraft designs and builds processing lines and factories for potatoes, onions and bulk products worldwide. Their smart factories contribute to efficient, reliable and future-proof agribusinesses. In recent years, Eqraft has been growing rapidly. The machine builder sold numerous projects for automatic sorting, storage, weighing and packing to clients all over the globe. In addition, a large number of new employees were welcomed by the various teams. This continuous growth also meant the tech company needed more space. Directors Marcel Kampes and Rutger Keurhorst chose the new premises on Werktuigenweg in Emmeloord (in the centrally located province of Flevoland in the Netherlands) as their new location. This brand new property meets Eqraft's needs and growth ambitions.

Future-oriented

Completed in 2022 in line with the latest sustainability standards, the new premises cover some 6,600 m2. The building is divided into modern workplaces and meeting rooms, a warehouse and an assembly and expedition area. The new site also features 21 overhead doors, cranes with various lifting capacities, LED lighting and underfloor heating. In the office space of some 1,000 m2, each team will have their own dedicated area. CFO Wouter Kaptijn: "I’m happy we can now offer our people the space they deserve. This new location matches our quality standards and ambitions."

Eqraft remains in Emmeloord

Eqraft's history goes back to 1984, when the company's predecessor was founded in Emmeloord. This is precisely why Managing Director Marcel Kampes is pleased that the new office is located near the place where it all began. "We’re happy to stay in the Noordoostpolder area, as it’s one of the epicentres of the Dutch agribusiness. We have a connection with this place: not only because of our history, but also because many of our customers and suppliers are located here. And of course, our colleagues: many of them live nearby."

Open days on 2 and 5 February 2024

Two open days will be organised to celebrate this important milestone. Colleagues, family, friends and neighbours are welcome on Friday, February 2, from 3pm. This afternoon, the new location will be officially opened by the major of the Noordoostpolder municipality. Eqraft will provice drinks, refreshments and entertainment for the children.

For clients and suppliers, Eqraft organizes an open day on Monday, February 5, from 3pm onwards. This afternoon, they can enjoy guided tours, see machines under construction, interact with the team and attend suppliers’ presentations. The programme will be concluded with drinks and snacks. Director of Commerce Rutger Keurhorst: "I can't wait to show everyone around the new production facilities and offices at our new headquarters."
